OMG 2023: OMO GEORGE CHARITY PROJECTS ARE NOT POLITICALLY MOTIVATED – Coordinator.

“Omo George as popularly known, his many charity projects across the state and indeed globally are not politically motivated but driven by passion to improve the wellbeing of the people and heal the societies of its wounds”.

These were the words of Pastor Oludare David, Coordinator of Olanrewaju Omo George Medical Outreach and P. A. to the Chairman/CEO of Olanrewaju Omo George Foundation (OOGF) when he spoke to our Correspondent at the foundation’s Medical outreach in Ilisan Remo, Ogun State.

Pastor David disclosed that since the foundation was born, it has been involved in one charity project or the other because, according to him, the Founder is a man incurably uncomfortable to see fellow human being lack basic things of life.

He admitted the truth that he could not do everything, but held on to the unwavering belief that a hand to the needy would help soften the pangs of lack, reduce unnecessary deprivation or at least, reduce the suffering of the needy in the societies.

“We usually draw our programmes yearly and so, from January to December we have activities specifically structured to address one area or the other, from Medical Outreach where we give drugs, classes and treat people free of charge to empowerment of all sorts, vocational training and Startups financial assistance.

He said aside from the above mentioned programmes, the foundation has one project with which they provide free interest loan to small small scale entrepreneurs, adding that the project currently has a number of Nigerians captured.

Pastor David declared that truly the Founder of Olarenwaju Omo George Foundation is a member of All Progressive Congress who might, in the course of people’s demand seek elective position in the area of legislation, but that wouldn’t stop the many projects they have been running. “This will rather strengthen them to do more with good legislation”, he quipped.

At the Ilisan project, Nigerians throng the venue and were appropriately and respectfully attended to. As some received classes so many got drugs for one ailment or the other, and the people cheerfully, willingly and prayerfully expressed gratitude to the sponsor of the programme
