Olubadan Stool: Don’t Crown Senator Balogun Yet, Lawyer Appeals To Makinde

An indigene of Ibadan, Mr. Michael Lana, has appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state not to elevate Senator Lekan Balogun or any of the Ibadan High Chiefs to fill into the vacant Olubadan of Ibadan stool.

The Olubadan stool became vacant on Sunday following the demise of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Adetunji.

According to the Ibadan based legal practitioner, any attempt by the Governor to crown Senator Lekan Balogun or any of the High Chiefs will amount to illegality and subjudicial in view of two existing suits filed by Senator Balogun and another High Chief on the Olubadanship.
