Okowa was determined to take down his benefactors – Omo-Agege
Senate Vice President Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege has accused Delta State Governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice presidential candidate Senator Ifeanyi Okowa of fighting against all those who worked hard to making him governor in 2015.
Omo-Agege, who called on Deltans to vote out Senator Okowa and PDP in the upcoming election, noted that the only way to reward the governor for his “betrayal” against southern Nigeria and leaders who pushed to make him governor of to make the state is to cause his VP quest to crash.
The Delta APC gubernatorial candidate spoke in Ibusa, Akwukwu-Igbo and Okpanam on Tuesday during the continuation of the APC ward-to-ward campaign in Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta North senatorial district.
Omo-Agege denounced Okowa for allegedly colluding with enemies of Senator Peter Nwaboshi, APC senate candidate for Delta North, to remove him from political circulation, noting that due to the persistence of Senator Nwaboshi favoring the rotation of power to Delta North, Okowa would not have been governor.
He said that because Okowa does not want other Deltans, especially the Aniomas, to rise above him politically and upon realizing that Nwaboshi has the potential to become the Senate President if re-elected to the Senate, he was enrolled in destruction. .
According to him, when the battle for Anioma governor began in 2015, “your son, I called him the lion, Senator Peter Nwaboshi started it and spearheaded the 2015 update of Anioma governor, he fought for power to turn to Delta North.
“Even as quickly qualified as he is, if he wanted it he would have got it but he just wanted everyone from Delta North that’s why he supported Governor Ifeanyi Okowa but today he wants all the people who supported Okowa to be governor from the scene.
“Today Okowa has forgotten everyone who fought for him to become Governor, he is so determined to be a lone star in Anioma Nation, Nwaboshi has been signed as the next Senate President in the next APC government to be formed, but Okowa doesn’t want another Anioma son to rise above him, so he conspired with some enemies to take him out of circulation.
“But I have good news for you, Nwaboshi will be free in the coming weeks.
“So, on Senate Election Day, come out en masse and vote for Senate Peter Nwaboshi. A vote for Nwaboshi is a vote for Anioma to produce the next Senate President.”
Omo-Agege instructed Deltans not to vote for him because of his program to change the state, not just because they like his person, noting that his EDGE agenda will boost the state’s economy to create jobs for teeming unemployed youth.
He said the Okowa-led government has not seen job creation as a priority, “if not, they would have made sure that the Asaba textile factory is back, but no, their priority is stealing our money to support the presidential election to finance.
“We want to create a conducive environment to bring businesses back to Delta and create jobs for our unemployed youth. In order to bring back the companies, we need to address the power problem here, we will build an independent power plant to serve our industrial area.
“You may remember that we had plans to set up IPP in Oghara to give us about 128 MB, but Governor Okowa balkanized it and sold the turbines to his cronies and proceeded to set up a 5MW IPP that would only cover the government building , the secretariat and the commissioners. quarter, isn’t that selfish?
“Our project will be a people-oriented project, I would rather stay in the government building in the dark and make sure there is electricity to power the industrial sector to create jobs for our people, than enjoy the luxury of electricity, while our youth without a job.”
So he instructed Deltans to use their PVCs wisely and politically retire Governor Okowa and his gang, if Deltans are to see the state they envisioned.
