Ogun Unveiled Seamless Process To Own Dapo Abiodun E-Bikes
The Ogun State Government has unveiled the modalities for owning the much-coveted Dapo Abiodun Electric Bikes (D.A. E-Bikes), which have become a game-changer in the state’s transportation sector. Speaking to journalists at his office in Oke-Mosan, the Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Olugbenga Dairo, detailed the steps for prospective owners while emphasizing the project’s impact on easing transportation challenges and promoting environmental sustainability.
The E-Bikes, launched under the State Strategic Transportation Master Plan (STMP) of 2021, have so far demonstrated significant benefits, including reducing transportation costs, easing commuter stress, and contributing to a zero-emission environment.
Major Milestones
Engr. Dairo disclosed that 13 battery swap stations have been identified across the state, with six already operational in Abeokuta at:
Kuto (opposite MKO Abiola Stadium)
Panseke (Skating Ground)
Sokori (opposite Fatgbems Petrol Station)
Lafenwa (Enu Gada)
Asero (Rahmade Petrol Station and Aladesanmi Asero)
Rounder (opposite Carry Go Industry)
The stations, powered by propane gas, ensure uninterrupted service for users and are pivotal to the project’s success.

How to Own a D.A. E-Bike
The Commissioner encouraged interested individuals to follow these steps:
For Commercial Use: Contact any of the approved motorcycle transport unions in the state.
For Private Use: Direct inquiries to SPIRO Mobility Nigeria Ltd, located at the Ogun State Public Works Agency yard, Agbeloba, Abeokuta, or call 09130000352.

Engr. Dairo affirmed that the electric bikes represent a pivotal step in Ogun State’s energy transition and clean transportation agenda. He also hinted at plans to expand the project to other towns in the state, ensuring broader access for residents.
“This initiative has reduced the cost of transportation, eased the stress of commuters, and promoted a cleaner environment through zero-carbon emissions,” he stated.
The Commissioner, noted that a total number of 13 battery swap stations, were identified, and presently, 6 active stations were in full operation at Kuto (opposite MKO Abiola Stadium), Panseke (Skating Ground), Sokori (Opposite Fatgbems Petrol Station), Lafenwa (Enu Gada), Asero (Rahmade Petrol Station), Aladesanmi Asero and at Rounder opposite Carry Go Industry, all situated in Abeokuta and were powered by Propane Gas.
