Ogun Tribunal: Hon Olapeju Ayodele Makes U-turn, Shows Keen Interest In Petition After Reconciliations

The Ogun State People’s Democratic Party, Makun constituency II Candidate for Sagamu Local Government, Honourable Olapeju Ayodele who contested for House of Assembly in the last election on the 18th of March, 2023 has made uturn, says he is no longer withdrawing petition.

Recalls that The Eaglesforesight had earlier report his withdrawal notification when the press release was leaked to our correspondent.

The PDP Sagamu Constituency II Assembly candidate, Honourable Ayodele Olapeju had earlier challenged the All Progressive Congress assembly member elect, Honourable Ademola Adeniran Sapele of being fraudulently announced as the winner of the election.

After due consultations and reconciliation, the Honourable candidate of PDP who felt cheated had make uturn by saying he’s now fully interested in the petitioning if only his party can take full responsibility to the reality of the day.

“The information on social media which has been flying around that,  I Olapeju Ayodele had withdrawn the case from court is a fallacy and untrue. I am fully in the race to pursue the mandate for the good people of Makun”, Olapeju said.

“I sincerely appreciate the good people of Makun that voted for me massively in the last election. It is certain, that with God on our side; we will recover our stolen mandate from APC.  On this note I have to state it clear that, I never collected any money or compensation from APC or any personality to withdraw my Petition”, Hon. Olapeju insists.

He therefore urged the leadership hierarchy of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Sagamu “to always carry the great people of Makun along in all the happens in the party and settle all grievance among members and verify on a subject matter before jumping to conclusion.”

“I remain a member of PDP to the core and a card carrying member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Please never listen to any rumours flying across. This is just a way to distract us. We are coasting to victory soonest and we believe in our judiciary to do the needful to all matters arising.”
