Ogun State Youths Call Out Governor Dapo Abiodun For Poor Performance And Deception

The Concerned Atan-Lusada-Agbara Youths Group (CALAYG) has issued a scathing critique of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration, accusing him of failing to deliver on his campaign promises and instead resorting to excuses, propaganda, and deception.

In a statement released on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Abeokuta, the group’s leader, Comrade Jinad Hammed, lamented the deplorable state of roads in Ogun State, particularly in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area. He listed several roads in disrepair, including:

– Bible College-Ajegunle road, which has been abandoned for years

– Ijoko-Ota-Ogba Ayo road, which is riddled with potholes

– Dalemo-Maltina road, which is in a state of disrepair

– Ijoko-Oniyale road, which has been neglected by the state government

– Bible College-Abule Iroko road, which is impassable

– Ijoko-Ifo road, which is in a deplorable condition

Hammed expressed disappointment that Governor Abiodun has chosen to blame the Federal Government for his administration’s failures instead of taking responsibility and finding solutions. He described the governor’s actions as “pathetic” and “unworthy of a progressive-minded leader.”

The group also criticized the governor’s use of photo ops to deceive the public about the state of the Atan-Lusada-Agbara road project, which they described as a “monumental failure.” They alleged that the governor’s aides have been spreading false information and manipulated photos to create a false narrative about the project’s progress.

CALAYG urged the people of Ogun State to take note of Governor Abiodun’s poor performance and not elect similar leaders in the future. They emphasized the need for accountable and effective governance that prioritizes the welfare of citizens.

“We call on Governor Abiodun to stop pointing fingers and take responsibility for his administration’s failures,” Hammed said. “We demand better governance and tangible results, not excuses and propaganda.”

The group’s statement has sparked a heated debate in Ogun State, with many citizens expressing their frustration with the governor’s performance and calling for change.
