Ogun State New Police Commissioner Reads Riot Act To Kidnappers, Cultists, Others

The new Commissioner of Police for Ogun State Command, Olarewaju Yomi Oladimeji has warned members of the various secret cult groups in the state, kidnappers, as well as members of the armed robbery gangs to steer clear of the state or risk being mercilessly dealt with.

The new CP, who addressed journalists at the command’s headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, the state capital, specifically assured the people in the state wherein he declared that his command will be synergizing with other sister agencies towards uprooting cultism, kidnapping and other forms of banditry away from the state.

It would be recalled that Olanrewaju, who officially assumed office on Thursday in Ogun Command following the recent promotion of the erstwhile Police Commissioner, Frank Mba, who has been promoted to the rank of the Assistant Inspector of Police (AIG).

The new CP, a graduate of History and Political Science, also has a Bachelor Degree in law and he has been called to the Bar.

Flanked by other top management members of the command, Olanrewaju advised all law defaulters, who may have been hibernating in the state to relocate “with immediate alacrity”, stressing that the command will do everything within its disposal to chase out cultists and also prosecute whoever that is apprehended.

“Our plan is to make sure that all law-abiding citizens in Ogun state sleep well. If you are law abiding, you have no problem. But if you are not law-abiding and you are a criminal, this is time for you to relocate because if you don’t relocate, you will not like what will happen to you.”

“We will make sure that those who are law-abiding will enjoy their stay in Ogun state. I can assure you that we are going to synergize with sister agencies to make sure we achieve our goals”.
