Ogun Secures Infrastructure Future As Abiodun Appproves More Road Projects To Boosts Security Measures

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the reconstruction of several new road projects, reaffirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development and connectivity across the state’s senatorial districts.

The approvals were granted during the weekly meeting of the Ogun State Executive Council held on Wednesday. Among the newly sanctioned road projects are:

5.4 km Ogbeere – Orita Mobi Junction Road (Ijebu East LGA)

3.2 km Erinlu – Imosan Road (Odogbolu LGA)

2.0 km Imodi – Imosan Road (Odogbolu LGA)

The council also greenlit the procurement of ultra-modern security gadgets, a strategic move aimed at bolstering the state’s security architecture and ensuring the protection of public infrastructure and residents alike.

Speaking during the meeting, Governor Abiodun emphasized his government’s resolve to pursue “consistent infrastructural development” and ensure even distribution of projects across urban and rural communities. He further lauded the progress at the Onijaganjagan Independent Power Plant, promising stable power supply to Abeokuta and neighboring areas in the near future.

This latest batch of projects adds to the eleven roads recently approved by the state, highlighting a deliberate and strategic effort to improve intra-state mobility, boost local economies, and enhance quality of life.

The previously approved roads include:

9.2 km Akute Bridge–Agbado (Lateef Jakande Train Terminal–Agbado Bridge)

5.5 km Iperu Junction–Ilishan Roundabout (Gateway International Airport Road)

4 km Imasayi–Igan Okoto–Ayetoro Road (Phase 2B)

3 km Imasayi (Phase 1 end)–Igan Okoto (Phase 2A)

3.8 km Gao Junction–Ibiade Road

2.75 km Abeokuta Obalende–Ijebu Ode Road

1.1 km Osinubi New Road (Araromi Street), Ijebu Ode

0.85 km Tam Balogun Road, Ijebu Ode

2.93 km Federal College Road, Odogbolu

2.8 km General Hospital–Aferiku Road, Ipokia

1.7 km Oke Erinja–Ilobi Road (Phase 2)

Governor Abiodun’s administration continues to receive commendations from stakeholders and residents for prioritizing infrastructure, security, and power development as pillars of his governance agenda.
