Ogun-East Assembly Endorses Tinubu, Senator Adeola Yayi for 2027 Guber Race

Celebrates YAYI at 56 with grand political declaration in Ijebu-Igbo.

The Ogun-East Assembly for Yayi, a prominent political group in Ogun State, has formally endorsed President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (popularly known as YAYI) for the governorship of Ogun State in the 2027 general elections.

The dual endorsement was announced on Sunday at a grand celebration held at the Omo-Ilu Open Ground, Ijebu-Igbo, marking Senator Adeola’s 56th birthday and his official declaration of interest in the state’s governorship race.

In his opening address, the Convener of the Ogun-East Assembly Political Family, Hon. Samuel Adejare, described Senator Adeola as a political leader of rare influence, nurtured under the political tutelage of President Tinubu, who remains a mentor to both men.

“Senator Adeola’s journey is a shining testament to his unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Ogun West in particular, and Ogun State in general. His tireless efforts have empowered countless people, leaving an indelible mark on our society,” Adejare said.

“His leadership is characterized by integrity, vision, and compassion, inspiring a new generation of leaders and shaping the future of our nation.”

Also speaking, former Ogun East Senator, Gbenga Kaka, congratulated Adeola on his 56th birthday, praying for his continued success in public service.

“Fifty-six years on earth is no small feat. Many of his contemporaries are no longer with us. We are happy he is alive, well, and still serving his people,” Kaka said.

Former House of Representatives member for Remo Federal Constituency, Hon. Taofeek Buraimo, also commended Adeola’s dedication to public service, describing him as “a seasoned politician and statesman whose initiatives have positively touched countless lives, particularly in Ogun State.”

The well-organized event drew a mammoth crowd and was graced by prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, including Senator Lekan Mustapha, Senator Gbenga Kaka, Hon. Femi Ogunbanwo (Omo-Iwa), Ogun State Commissioner for Special Duties Hon. Funmi Afuwape, Hon. Abudu Balogun, Hon. Otun (Kope), Hon. Olaseni Koiki (DG, Caucus 7202), Hon. Segun Kaka (Member, Ogun State House of Assembly), Hon. Razaq Daddah (Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs), Giwa (Dr.) Niyi Osoba, Otunba Adewale Oshinubi (Chairman, Wesco Lottery and Bet), Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye, former Ikenne Local Government Chairman, Ms. Bukky Onabanjo, Hon. Onamusi, Hon. Tele Ogunjobi, Prince Akin Onalaja, and Alhaji Mutiu Adenuga, among others.
