Urgent Call for Prompt Action: Restoration of Power Supply to Sagamu Substation
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing as a concerned resident of Sagamu, a community that has been subjected to severe hardship due to the prolonged lack of electricity caused by the damaged Sagamu substation transformer Sabo. It is with great urgency that I implore you to take immediate action to rectify this situation and restore the much-needed power supply to our cosmopolitan city.
It has been close to five months since the substation transformer suffered damage, and yet there seems to be no respite in sight for the residents of Sagamu. This unfortunate circumstance has had a crippling effect on our daily lives, businesses, and overall well-being. Power outages have become the norm rather than the exception, causing untold loss and inconvenience to the people of Sagamu.

We understand that maintaining a reliable power supply can be a complex task, but it is disheartening to witness the continued experimentation and unprofessional approach from IBEDC. Your constant tinkering with power supply, leaving us grasping in the dark, has only exacerbated the already dire situation. We are tired of being treated as mere pawns in your profit-making game, without receiving the basic service we are entitled to as paying customers.
Therefore, we humbly request that you take this matter with utmost seriousness and give it the urgent attention it deserves. Our patience has worn thin, and we can no longer tolerate the negligence and apathy you have demonstrated so far. It is imperative for you to act swiftly and diligently in restoring the faulty substation transformer in Sagamu within the next two weeks.
We demand transparency and accountability throughout this process. We expect clear communication regarding the progress made, without any further delay or excuses. As stakeholders, we have the right to be informed about the steps being taken to rectify the damage and prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
Failure to address this issue promptly will leave us with no choice but to explore other avenues to ensure our voices are heard. We will not hesitate to engage the relevant regulatory bodies, media outlets, and legal channels if necessary, to safeguard our rights as consumers and residents of Sagamu.
We believe in the professionalism and integrity of IBEDC, and we trust that you will rise to the occasion and fulfill your obligations as a responsible power distributor. Our community deserves equitable access to reliable and uninterrupted power supply, just like any other cosmopolitan city in Nigeria.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We anticipate your swift and positive response to this urgent appeal for action.
Yours sincerely,
Mayomi.
