Ogun APC Ward Exco Suspends Itele Ward Chairman, Oladunjoye [Watch Video]

In an urgent gathering held on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024, the Itele Ward 7 of the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened for an emergency meeting at the Ward Secretariat. Presided over by Mr. Tajudeen Ogunsanwo, the Ward Vice Chairman, the assembly addressed pressing concerns within the party’s ranks, notably resulting in the suspension of Honourable Tunde Oladunjoye.

The meeting, attended by 106 party members alongside prominent leaders including Hon. Onadeko Onamusi, Hon. Owolabi Okunuga, Hon. Sina Ipaye, and Hon. Tunde Ojutaiwo, commenced with an invocation by Mrs. Victoria Mojisola Ogbeide at 4:10 pm.

Allegations against Honourable Tunde Oladunjoye were rigorously discussed, focusing on:

Polarization of the Party: Concerns were raised regarding actions contributing to internal division.

Abuse of Office: Allegations of misconduct in his official capacity were brought to light.

Withholding of 2023 Election Funds: The failure to disburse funds allocated for the 2023 elections raised significant concern among party members.

As a result of these accusations, a motion for the suspension of Hon. Tunde Oladunjoye was proposed by Mr. Hammed Kayode and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Ogbeide. The motion received unanimous support from all present party members.

Similarly, Alhaji Sarafa Oduntokun, the Ward Chairman, faced severe allegations including:

Polarization of the Party: Actions contributing to internal discord were attributed to his leadership.

Misappropriation of Funds: Concerns were raised regarding the improper use of party funds.

Injudicious Distribution of Commodities: Reports surfaced of unfair distribution of party resources among members.

Gross Misconduct: Instances of misconduct and disregard for party members’ welfare were highlighted.

A motion for the removal of Alhaji Sarafa Oduntokun from his position was moved by Mr. Adeniran Ipaye and seconded by Mr. Moses Okpomini. The motion garnered unanimous support from the assembly.

The meeting concluded with a motion for adjournment put forward by Mr. Rotimi Nosiru, followed by a closing prayer led by Dipo Ogunde.
