Ogun 2023: PDP Leaders Launches Group ’LADYOVA’, Inaugurates New Executive, To Support Lado Political Ambitions

As the 2023 general election is fast approaching, the Sagamu People’s Democratic Party at the party secretariat set up a group named Ladi Adebutu Dynamic Youth Vanguard (LADYOVA) in the mission to support their party candidates, particularly; Hon Oladipupo Adebutu for his victory at the polls.

The movement under the leadership of comrade Abdullah Isiaka as the chairman, has bring together people who have common interest in their candidates, especially Honourable Adebutu Oladipupo.

The organizers also invited educators to teach the youths, canvassers and party polling unit agents on politics in the state and country at large.

The group state Chairman opening speech who also doubled as the group Director General, Comrade Dumiye Kehinde Michael popularly known as Kwato, emphasizes on the vision and mission of the movement.

“The mission of LADYOVA is to catch them young, I mean to Mobilise people that are appolitical, the market women, people that just attain the voting age and people from other political parties.”

“I saluted the LADYOVA members for their unrelenting effort to come this far and I thanked them for their financial contribution to make the imagination a successful one. I encouraged them to continue with the good work they were doing,” Dumiye Kehinde said.

Being a lecturer at the inauguration event, Comrade Ola Yusuf In his keynote speech said, conversing is an act that need to be taught. If there is good electoral system, election process would definitely be a smooth one.

“On 25th February 2022, President Muhammadu Buhari signed the 2022 Electoral Act Amendment Bill into law, after months of withholding approval. The 2022 new Electoral Act as amended repeals the Electoral Act No.6, 2010 (“the former Act”) and is intended to bring innovations to the regulation of Federal, State, and Area Council elections in Nigeria.

Further, he explained the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) as an electronic device designed to read Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and authenticate voters using the voter’s fingerprints to prove that they are eligible to vote at a particular polling unit. The BVAS usage entails either scanning the barcode/QR code on the PVC/Voter’s register.

“As Nigeria approaches its 2023 general elections, the enactment of this law has come at the right time. The law will considers some major changes introduced by the new electoral act’s and the possible implications of these changes on the upcoming elections­”, he said.

Recalls that at the same event, free medical outreach was facilitated by Hon.(Dr) Jamiu popularly known as Jasper in support of the ambition of the party Governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu Lado.

Comrade Kwato in his closing remarks also appreciated leaders that gazed the occasion including such as the leading leader; Alhaja Mujidat Ogunaike , the local government party chairman, Deacon Dauda Adeyemi, Double D Hon Lateef ololade Abana. Com Dare fasasi, Wasiu Awolaja. Alhaja Taye kalejaiye, the Sagamu PDP Local government executives, the wards women leaders, the ambassadors and ward chairmen.
