OGHA Free Of Rancour Without Embattled Speaker Oluomo, As Members Meet At Plenary
Normalcy has today returned to the Ogun State House of Assembly as members attend plenary session, free of rancour. At the plenary members were availed with the response of Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, over the allegation levelled against him by the lawmakers.
The House led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, deliberated on the Speaker’s response and advised that the Speaker should step aside pending the outcome of the report of the Adhoc Committee set up by the House at the plenary to look into the matter.

The membership of the Committee are: Hon. Musefiu Lamidi, representing Ado Odo/ Ota 2 State Constituency to serve as Chairman, Oluseun Adesanya as Vice Chairman, just as Honourables Babatunde Tella, Damilola Soneye, Lukman Adeleye, Fola Salami and Olusegun Odunuga would serve as members, while the Director of Legislative Service, Mr. Temitope Hokon would serve as Secretary.
Meanwhile, the embattled speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo was docked today at the Federal High Court 1, Okemosan Abeokuta today, over the criminal allegations of fraud and conspiracy against the House and EFCC.
The case was later adjourned to February 29 and March 1 respectfully for Plea taking and trial.
