Obi predicts a new, prosperous Nigeria
Ahead of presidential elections scheduled for this month, Labor Party candidate Mr Peter Obi has said a new, prosperous Nigeria awaits if elected.
Obi made the statement during his campaign tour of the Southeast, which took him to Abia and Ebonyi states on Friday.
The former governor of Anambra state pledged to invest massively in critical infrastructure, education and health to improve the lot of the country and the prosperity of its people.
“Datti and I come from the private sector and have managed public funds. My records in Anambra State, where I served for eight years, are all verifiable.
“I urge you to ask questions about who you want to entrust your future to in their hands. What’s their name? What school did they attend? Where do they come from? How have they fared in their previous responsibilities,” he asked.
While thanking the people of the two states for their support, Obi urged them to pick up their permanent voter cards, which would allow them to vote in the presidential election and subsequent elections on February 25.
