Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi Pledges Support For Sagamu Youth Association
The Sagamu Youth Association (SYA) has received a significant boost in its mission to foster youth empowerment and community development following a historic visit to His Royal Highness, Oba Kazeem Olaonipekun Gbadamosi, the Ologijo of Ogijo, at his palace in Ogijo, Sagamu.
The high-profile visit, which took place on Friday, 20th of December 2024 provided an opportunity for the association to present its vision and initiatives aimed at uniting and empowering Sagamu youths to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic growth of the region.
Addressing the Sagamu Youth Association executives, Oba Gbadamosi lauded the association for its dedication to promoting peace, innovation, and progress among the younger generation. The monarch emphasized the critical role of youth in nation-building and urged the SYA leadership to remain focused on their developmental agenda.
“The future of Sagamu lies in the hands of its youths. Your efforts to channel the energy and creativity of our young people toward meaningful projects is commendable. I give you my royal blessings and assure you of my unwavering support in this noble journey,” the Ologijo declared.

During the interactive session, the royal father endorsed the association’s ongoing initiatives, which include skill acquisition programs, mentorship schemes, and community service projects. He also called for increased collaboration between traditional institutions and youth organizations to ensure sustainable development in Sagamu Local Government.
The president of the Sagamu Youth Association, Comrade Olugbenga Isiaka Lawal, Ambassador Easy, expressed gratitude to the Ologijo for his wise counsel, and endorsement. “Your Royal Highness, your words inspire and reassure us. We pledge to uphold your vision for a united and progressive Sagamu, and we will continue to work tirelessly to make you and Remoland proud,” he said.
The visit ended with a symbolic presentation “SEED” of the association’s roadmap for 2025 to the monarch, further cementing a royal partnership aimed at advancing the well-being of Sagamu youths.
