The good people of Remo North LGA,

NYCN REMO NORTH: 2021 Public Dialogue & Interactive Session With Chairmanship & Vice Candidates Cum Councilorship Manifesto Presentation

I am going to say this and I want to make very simple so that we all can be on the same page, as response to concerns being generated by our members and the good people of our LGA.

The program we are holding is a laudable one by general comments and reviews. But many are worried and so have raised some questions that bother around fairness and personal sentiments by those in the corridor of planning and implementation.

First, the program in view is not a debate, which in most cases are confrontational rather an interaction of the people with their potential office holders. The program as intended will make for an interface of the stakeholders with the political officers ahead of their elections, so that they are well prepared to serve the interest of the populace.

WE WILL HEAR THE CANDIDATES AND THEY WILL ALSO HEAR THEIR PEOPLE.

As it stands, may I say this with much emphases needed that the committee for the event are limited to and will only act as it pertains to planning and pre-event activities to;

1. Organize the venue, and make for the comfort of all attendees and invited guests.

2. Source for sponsors for the events and give the event the required publicity and invitations.

3. Ensure security of those at the event by getting the supports and presence of the security agents for same.

4. Do all that pertains to submission of the general opinions and expectations that matters, as being raised at the event to the Local Executive Council of the NYCN at our LGA.

5. And most importantly, ensure that all candidates are invited to participate in the event.

For the interest of the public and general concerns, we understand the fragile state of the politics around, and so the anchor-cum-panelists at the event will be as neutral as possible and shall be drafted from outside of the LGA. Those persons shall be those who possibly have no details of any candidate ahead of now.

As the time gets closer, the names of some panelists shall be released and added to the fliers being shared around.

We appreciate all voices that have spoken up and shown interest for the program.

The day promises to be fruitful.
