Nigerian Lawyer Falana, Comedian Mr. Macaroni Win 2022 Civic Activism Award
Acivic data-driven tech organization, BudgIT has awarded the popular Nigerian human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) with the Civic Activism Award.
Also awarded with the 2022 civic, activism award is given to a popular skit maker and human rights activist, Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni.
“Congratulations to @femi_falana on winning the Hall of Fame Award for Civic Activism, recognising a veteran activist who has contributed immensely to national development via civic activism,” BudgIT Nigeria tweeted on Monday.
Similarly, expressing his gratitude for the honour, Mr. Macaroni tweeted, “I am honored to receive the Arts for Activism Award from @BudgITng.
“This is dedicated to everyone out there who continues to stand against oppression and injustice despite all odds. May our Labour never be in vain!”
