NIA DG, Abubakar’s Shocking Resignation Exposes Tinubu’s Sinister Plot To Violate Nigerians’ Rights — Sowore

In a stunning turn of events, the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar, has resigned from his position, citing personal and family reasons. However, activist politician Omoyele Sowore has blown the whistle, alleging that Abubakar’s resignation is actually a result of his refusal to carry out the Tinubu administration’s plans to violate Nigerians’ rights and perpetuate human rights abuses.

According to Sowore, Abubakar had previously assisted former President Muhammadu Buhari in committing atrocities, including the abduction and extraordinary rendition of Biafra agitator Nnamdi Kanu. However, it appears that Abubakar drew the line at the Tinubu administration’s plans, which Sowore claims include widespread human rights violations and abuses.

The resignation comes on the heels of the arrest of investigative journalist Adejuwon Soyinka, who was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) upon his arrival at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. Soyinka’s arrest is seen as a chilling example of the Tinubu administration’s growing crackdown on free speech and press freedom.

Sowore, who has been a vocal critic of the Tinubu administration, has called on Nigerians to rise up and resist the government’s sinister plans.

“The darkest days are here, but we MUST all roundly reject and RESIST. This is full-blown fascism. Let everyone take a position NOW. A #REVOLUTION is INEVITABLE at this point,” he declared.

Abubakar submitted his resignation letter to Tinubu during a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

After the meeting, Abubakar explained to journalists that his resignation was not due to any critical issues but rather personal and family matters.

“There are quite a number of reasons one will do that. Some personal family issues, but nothing very serious, actually, and the friendship will continue,” he said.

Reacting to the development in a message made available to DAILY POST, Sowore said: “Just one #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria revolt, @officialABAT and his goons squad have detained 2000 protesters, killed 40 peaceful protesters, injured many, including 27 journalists, abducted whistleblowers, raided the offices of @NLCHeadquarters and harassed members of their families.

“I think this is why the NIA DG resigned; having helped @mbuhari to commit several atrocities, including the abduction and extraordinary rendition of @MaziNnamdiKanu, he couldn’t continue with the scale of violations and abuse planned for Nigerian by the Tinubu regime. Or maybe he was just below par for the task ahead!

“The darkest days are here, but we MUST all roundly reject and RESIST. This is full-blown fascism. Let everyone take a position NOW. A #REVOLUTION is INEVITABLE at this point. #FearlessInOctober #RevolutionNow #freePIDOMNIGERIA #TakeItBack.”

As the situation continues to unfold, one thing is clear: the Tinubu administration’s actions have sparked widespread outrage and concern among Nigerians, who are demanding an end to the human rights abuses and violations. Will the government listen, or will the people be forced to take matters into their own hands? Only time will tell.
