Newborn Abandoned In Front Of Shop Rescued In Sagamu, Baby Left With Placenta Attached
In the early hours of last Sunday, residents of Offin in Sagamu were shaken by a tragic discovery when a newborn was found abandoned in front of a shop in the Eleja area.
The unidentified mother reportedly gave birth at the location around midnight, leaving the infant on the ground with the placenta still attached.
It was the cries of the newborn that alerted nearby residents to the scene. Acting quickly, concerned passersby rushed to rescue the baby, carefully wrapping the child before transporting them to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) in Sagamu. The child is now in the care of medical professionals, receiving immediate attention.
