NCAA Grounds K1 de Ultimate: Fuji Star To Get 6-Month Flight Ban Over Airport Misconduct

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has taken a bold step by blacklisting iconic Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, widely known as K1 de Ultimate, from flying within Nigeria for six months following an alleged altercation at the domestic terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the NCAA, Michael Achimugu, disclosed that the decision is part of the authority’s renewed commitment to discipline, orderliness, and enforcement of aviation standards across all airports in the country.
“As we speak, the passenger is going to be blacklisted for the next six months from flying in Nigeria. Everyone involved will be held accountable,” Achimugu said.
He emphasized that aviation regulations are not subject to personal status or celebrity influence, insisting that no one is above the law.

“These are globally recognized safety rules. Whether you are a public figure or a regular citizen, you will be subjected to the same level of scrutiny and discipline if you violate them,” he added.
In a move that could escalate the matter beyond aviation restrictions, the NCAA also revealed plans to write to the Attorney General of the Federation and the Inspector General of Police, requesting legal proceedings against the veteran singer.
When quizzed on whether the singer’s well-known ties to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu could influence the process, Achimugu was quick to dismiss such assumptions.
“Both the President and the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, have made it clear that the rule of law must prevail,” he said.
As the story continues to trend across social and mainstream media, the entertainment industry and legal circles are closely watching how this landmark decision will unfold.
As of press time, K1 de Ultimate and his camp have yet to issue an official response.
