Meet Stanford-Trained Engineer And Tech Entrepreneur, Michael Adewale Adesanya Who Declares For Remo Federal House Seat

Michael Adewale Adesanya, a 37-year-old technology entrepreneur and education advocate, in a compelling move that signals a fresh wave of leadership for Remo Federal Constituencyhas officially declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives.
Adesanya, whose journey spans from hawking on the streets of Sagamu to co-founding million-dollar startups, says his mission is to spark a new era of visionary representation, focused on education reform, youth empowerment, and economic transformation.
Raised in the Isale Oko area of Sagamu, the aspirant’s academic story is rooted in Remo’s rich legacy of learning. He attended Remo Kindergarten and later, Mayflower School, Ikenne, before earning national recognition at the 2004 National JETS Competition where he was named Nigeria’s Best Science Student. He later graduated with a First-Class degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos, backed by Shell and Ogun State scholarships, and earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, California.
Michael’s professional journey is equally remarkable. He has worked in global firms like Procter & Gamble, Jumia, and Gap Inc., before co-founding Suplias in 2019, a tech-driven retail distribution startup supported by Y Combinator. In 2022, he launched Oris, a digital platform that currently supports over 1,000 sales professionals across Nigeria.

Despite his international credentials, Adesanya remains deeply connected to grassroots development. In 2021, he founded the Adewale Students Conference (ASC)—a youth-focused education initiative that has reached over 5,000 students and educators through scholarships, mentorships, and school support programs. He also serves as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Lagos, teaching engineering entrepreneurship.
“Remo deserves bold, modern leadership—leadership that combines lived local experience with global insight,” Adesanya stated during his official declaration. “This is not just about politics; it’s about building a Remo where every child has a future and every citizen has a voice.”
His campaign pillars include:
Overhauling educational systems and promoting innovation in public schools
Building enterprise-driven youth programs and tech-driven job opportunities
Advocating for modern infrastructure and inclusive economic policies
Supporters have described Adesanya as “a generation-defining candidate” with the intellect, experience, and grassroots understanding required to reposition Remo on the national map.
“My story began here in Sagamu—hawking sachet water and roasted corn. But with hard work, community support, and grace, I’ve led on global stages. Now I return to serve,” he affirmed.
As the political atmosphere heats up ahead of the 2025 by-elections, many believe Adesanya’s candidacy could reshape the narrative of youth involvement in governance, particularly in Ogun State.
