Odeda, Ogun State – Honourable Ademola Oluwajuwon Adeniji, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Odeda Local Government has in a spirited show of support officially launched his campaign with a high-energy rally in Obantoko, drawing hundreds of enthusiastic supporters.

The campaign trail was abuzz as it wove through Ilugun, passed through the Olodo community, and culminated at Alagbagba settlement, painting a clear picture of the mounting grassroots demand for change across Odeda.

The event’s electrifying atmosphere was heightened by the active participation of councilorship candidates from each ward within Odeda Local Government, who joined forces to lend their support. Dressed in vibrant PDP colors, these candidates energized the crowd, emphasizing a unified stance for transformation within the local government.

Chants of “We’re tired of APC government” echoed through the air as citizens rallied behind Adeniji, expressing their frustration with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which they blamed for economic hardships and worsening conditions across the community.

In his address, Honourable Adeniji highlighted his commitment to prioritize the welfare of Odeda’s citizens, emphasizing plans to combat hunger, improve infrastructure, create jobs, and uplift community services.

He stated, “the current administration has failed to deliver on its promises, leaving our people struggling to survive in a land filled with potential. It’s time for a government that truly represents the people’s interest, and that government is the PDP.”

Throughout the campaign trail, citizens voiced strong grievances against the APC administration, accusing it of neglect and mismanagement that has led to increased poverty and food insecurity across Odeda. Many residents expressed their hope that the PDP, under Adeniji’s leadership, would bring much-needed relief and opportunities to the community.

A resident of Olodo, Mrs. Titi Adetunji, described her disappointment with the APC’s tenure, saying, “We have been patient, but all we’ve seen is more suffering and lack of basic necessities. Our farms yield less profit due to poor infrastructure, and we lack proper healthcare. We need a change.”

Another local leader in Alagbagba, Chief Sunday Olamilekan, added that Odeda’s communities are eager to welcome new leadership. “Our people are yearning for transformation. Honourable Adeniji has shown his commitment to the grassroots, and his plans resonate with our needs,” he said.

The rally marked the beginning of an extensive campaign aimed at reaching every ward and household across Odeda. PDP leaders urged all supporters to vote in full force for the party come election day, promising a responsive government that will prioritize community development, job creation, and food security. Adeniji closed his speech with a call for unity and determination among all PDP members and supporters to ensure victory.
