Ogun State is set to witness another wave of industrial expansion as Mamuda Group of Companies announces a $50 million investment in a new beverage manufacturing plant, projected to generate over 1,500 jobs upon completion.
The Chairman of the company, Mr. Hassan Hammoud, made this known during a courtesy visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Tuesday. He said the decision to site the factory in Ogun was influenced by the state’s thriving business environment and investor-friendly policies.
Mr. Hammoud lauded the Abiodun-led administration for laying a solid foundation for industrial development, saying Ogun State now stands out as a preferred destination for investors across the region. He added that the group is committed to contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth by delivering quality products and creating sustainable employment.
According to him, the groundbreaking ceremony for the beverage plant is expected to take place within the next month, with the facility scheduled for completion within a year.
