Let No One Use You To Scuttle This Democracy —Omooba Ayoola Urges Youths, Students To Say No To Unscrupulous Politicians
A former student leader and youth development enthusiast, Prince Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola has urged the youths and students never to be willing tools in the hands of some unscrupulous elements masquerading as politicians who are allegedly said to be making moves to install interim government.
These undesirable elements, according to intelligence as gathered by the DSS and widely reported by the media were said to have perfected plans to organise series of violent protests which would eventually lead to emergence of interim government rather than the inauguration of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on May 29.
Ayoola, who also doubles as founder of Obaruwa Foundation, in a statement made available to journalists on Friday, however pleaded with the students and the youths whom these selfish politicians would definitely mobilise for these anti-democratic protests to shun such call and never be part of those hell-bent on destroying the country’s growing democracy.

He urged the youth and the students to see it as their responsibility to uphold and sustain the blossoming democracy in Nigeria saying that “It is important for you to actively participate in the democratic process by exercising your right to vote, holding elected officials accountable, and engaging in peaceful protests and advocacy to bring about positive change.
“It is however not appropriate for politicians to call for protests that undermine the democratic process or incite violence and the youth and the students will be at the forefront. These disgruntled politicians were once in PDP and APC, so becareful of what they give as direction because they have one way or the other contributed to challenges confronting us as a country, so, let no one fall for their tricks”.
“The election is done, and now is time for Nation Building so be part of it, shun any call to truncate our democracy because we do not have an Interim Government provision in our Constitution so do not follow anyone to commit treason and felony which attract maximum punishment.”
“Our President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, as we all know is a builder of men, he is a great manager of resources, given his antecedents and love for this country, he has all that it takes to competently address our worries and challenges, with our support and cooperation, the incoming government of Asiwaju Tinubu will open a new floodgate of hope for the country and we shall all be happy for it”, the statement concluded.
