Labour Party: Apapa Faction Conducts ′Fake­’ Congress In Plateau State

…Let every members and supporters of labour party and quality representatives work for the victory of Barr.Gyang Zi and Daniel Asama in the coming bye-election

The attention of Labour Party, Plateau State Chapter have been drawn to a fake state Congress organized by one Solomon Ndam, who is the Lamidi Apapa’s State Chairman, somewhere in Jos South LGA, while we are mourning our brothers and sisters over the attacks and killing of over 200 people in Barking Ladi, Bokkos and Mangu and our principal His Excellency Peter Obi has come to identify with us.

As you are all aware that the individuals in persons of Alhaji Lamidi Apapa, Arabanbi Abayomi and Anselem Eragbe, were expelled from the party by Barr.Julius Abure led National Working Committee due to anti party activities and they formed a factional group that are been sponsored by APC to cause confusion in the party, especially whenever there is an election.

These issues were put to rest at the Supreme Court where the court confirmed Senator Athan Achonu the winner of the primary election conducted by Barr.Julius Abure as the right and lawful governorship candidate for Imo election. By the judgment of the supreme court, it affirmed Barr.Julius Abure, the authentic national chairman of the party and the candidate that won in the primary election he conducted their primary election for Bayelsa and Kogi state for the 11th November 2023 election in the mentioned states.

Based on the Supreme Court judgment the Lamidi Apapa expelled faction have no any locus standing to conduct any Congress.

We are calling on LP members, supporters and the generally public to disregard the fake Congress which amounted to nothing.

Therefore, we should concentrate and channel our efforts towards winning the forth coming rerun election for Plateau North and Bassa/Jos Northern Federal Constituency.

Our national chairman remains Barr Julius Abure while Hon. Grace Zamfara, remains the Plate State Chairman of Labour Party.

The congresses would be conducted in due time to be announced by the national office.

In view of the above, do not be distracted, let every members and supporters of labour party and good representatives work for the victory of Barr.Gyang Zi for Plateau North Senatorial Zone and Daniel Asama for Bassa/Jos North federal constituency.
