Kuda says customers’ money is safe amid app outages
Neobank, Kuda, has allayed the fear of its customers who have been unable to access their funds since Tuesday due to app glitches.
The bank said the customers’ money was safe and was working to fix the problem with the app, adding that customers would be able to access the app once the problem is resolved.
Bank customers have become concerned that they cannot access the Kuda app for transactions. Some customers can log in, but their account balance is zero.
In response to the development, the bank apologized to its customers, acknowledging that it was aware of the outages, including the zero balance error.
The bank said it was working to resolve the issue and assured its customers they would be notified once the downtime was resolved, adding that customers’ money remained safe despite the outages.
Kuda wrote on his verified Twitter handle, @joinkuda, “We’re sorry you still haven’t been able to use your Kuda app. We’re working with our cloud service provider to resolve the downtime and we’ll let you know when it is Your money will remain safe and you will be able to access it once services are restored.
“We know that the balance error of ₦0.00 reported by several people is concerning, but we assure you that it is only what the app displays due to the downtime, not the amount of money you actually have. We will continue to share updates as we make progress.”
