Kingsley Obiora, CBN Deputy Governor Reportedly Arrested By DSS
Kingsley Obiora, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has been reportedly arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to a Business Day report, his arrest followed allegations of financial mismanagement under Godwin Emefiele, the suspended CBN governor.
Obiora is the Deputy Governor of the apex bank in charge of economic policy.
His arrest comes on the heels of an ongoing probe of CBN under the stewardship of Godwin Emefiele.
The Eaglesforesight recalls that Emefiele has been in the custody of the DSS since June 10, 2023, a day after President Bola Tinubu removed him from office.
