Having undergone a successful kidney transplant, veteran Nigerian rapper and lawyer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has credited his wife, Yetunde, for donating her kidney to ensure his surgery was successful.
The rapper, who stated this in his new single, titled ‘Thank You’, revealed that he developed kidney problems because he took his health for granted and did not go for regular checkups when he started seeing the signs that his body was ailing. abandon him.
In a new video now trending on social media platforms, Abdulkareem described his wife as a lifesaver, revealing that fear and anxiety initially gripped him when he was first told his kidney had caused him to fail because he knew he had been taking his body for granted for a while because he wasn’t going for regular checkups.
The rapper recalled that he started thinking about his kids and wife when he heard his kidney was failing as he thought the end had come, adding that Yetunde encouraged him to focus on dialysis as he went to God looked up for grace.
Abdulkareem said he contacted some close friends who had gone through the same kidney problem after many consultations and ended up at St. Nicholas Hospital where he met some of Nigeria’s best doctors who assured him that everything would be fine.
The ‘Thank You’ single, which was released on Wednesday, has been trending across social media platforms as many of the rapper’s fans expressed their joy at the controversial rapper’s return to the music scene.
