Kidnapped Catholic priest, seminarian regains freedom
A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr Chinedu Nwadike, and a seminarian, Emmanuel Nwafor, who were abducted Friday, have been released.
The priest who is deputy registrar of Spiritan University, Nneochi, and the seminarian were abducted on Enugu-Okigwe highway on Friday.

Their captors had demanded a ransom of N50m as a condition of their release.
Our correspondent was unable to confirm at the time of submitting this report whether a ransom was paid prior to their release.
Our correspondent was informed that the men of God had been released around the Nnochi-Ihube axis, the same area where they were abducted on Friday.
A source said: “Please rejoice with us, my relative, Rev’d Fr Dr. Chinedu Nwadike, has finally regained freedom. He and the seminarian were released unharmed on Sunday evening to the glory of God.
“We express our grateful appreciation for your prayers. May God bless you.”
The priest’s younger brother, Chikezie Nwadike, said the family was grateful to God for the release of his older brother and the seminarian.
