The Emir of Dutse in Jigawa State, Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi, is dead.

The monarch died Tuesday (today) in a hospital in Abuja.

In a message of condolence from the Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Sankara, he described the late Emir as a bridge-builder, kind and humane personality.

The statement praised the late Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi’s contribution to the development of the state.

“May the soul of the late Emir rest in peace and may the memories of his life bring comfort and comfort to those he leaves behind,” the statement read.

The late emir was appointed as the pioneering chancellor of Sokoto State University, Sokoto by a former governor of the state, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

Dr. Born in 1945 in Yargaba village in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State, Sanusi attended Dutse Elementary School from 1952 to 1956.

After his post-elementary education, he received a National Certificate in Education from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and later a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in International Business from Ohio University, United States of America.

He further obtained a postgraduate diploma in project planning and analysis from Bradford University, UK.

The Emir received an Honorary Doctorate in Management from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State.

After a number of years he gained a lot of experience in agricultural advice and industrial and commercial management.
