Iperu Youth Development Association Makes History With Maiden Youth Summit

The Iperu Youth Development Association (IpYDA), the apex youth body in Iperu Remo, has once again etched its name in the annals of history by inaugurating the maiden Youth Summit Chairman, Hon. Muyiwa Osularu, to oversee the planning and execution of the much-anticipated Iperu Youth Summit. This landmark event, set to be held later this year, promises to be a transformative gathering focused on empowering the youth and promoting sustainable development in the community.

The Youth Summit is designed to feature an array of engaging activities, including fun fairs, seminars, youth empowerment initiatives, job opportunities, trade fairs, international exchange and relations, talent hunts, sports, and environmental sustainability projects. This all-encompassing program aims to provide young people with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.

In his remarks, the IpYDA President, Alhaji Ganiyu Ahmed, highlighted the unanimous choice of Hon. Muyiwa Osularu as Chairman for the Summit. “The decision to entrust Hon. Osularu with this responsibility stems from his impressive contributions to our community and beyond. His track record of excellence and dedication speaks volumes,” he said.

Hon. Muyiwa Osularu, a seasoned IT expert and business consultant, currently serves as the secretary of IpYDA and has twice been the secretary of the Akesan Day Planning Committee. Known for his vibrancy, capacity, and unwavering commitment to the community, Hon. Osularu is widely regarded as a hardworking youth leader with a vision for progress.

As part of its broader agenda for youth development, the IpYDA executive team, led by Alhaji Ganiyu Ahmed, also inaugurated the Secretariat Committee on December 15th, 2024. This committee is tasked with establishing a permanent secretariat for the association, a project that is already underway and represents another historic milestone for the youth body.

In his charge to the community, President Ahmed called on all sons and daughters of Iperu to rally behind the association.
