Ijagba Development Youth Association Inaugurates New Leadership, Comrade Gbenga Adebayo Takes Helm As President

The Ijagba Development Youth Association (IDYA) has officially inaugurated its newly elected executives. Comrade Gbenga Adebayo (Oridade) has been sworn in as the new President, ushering in a fresh leadership era dedicated to youth empowerment, skills development, and socio-economic growth in Ijagba, Sagamu Local Government.

The newly inaugurated executives include:

Vice President: Comrade Olawale Olaniyi Saheed (Wale Sport)

Secretary: Amusan Yetunde

Assistant Secretary: Oduntan Oluwaseyi Olaoluwa

Treasurer: Lamina Waheed

PRO 1: Adeoye Samuel Shodiya

Treasurer: Ashaye Abiodun

Special Duty: Akibu Hammed Oluwatosin

Social Director: Oderinde Sunday

Chief Whip: Taiwo Olamilekan Agali

The new leadership has vowed to build on past achievements while implementing innovative programs designed to enhance the education, agricultural, health, and economic potential of young people in Ijagba. Emphasis will also be placed on skill acquisition and entrepreneurship, equipping youths with the tools needed for self-reliance and sustainable development.

Speaking at the inauguration, Comrade Gbenga Adebayo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering unity, promoting youth creativity, and expanding opportunities that will help young people maximize their potential. He also assured attendees that his leadership would collaborate with government agencies, private organizations, and community stakeholders to drive meaningful change.

“Today marks the beginning of a new chapter of our association, a journey driven by vision, unity, and the desire for progress. A few weeks ago, we emerged as the new youth executives after along awaited election. To the glory of God, everything was successful. But I want to emphasize that there are no winners or losers. We will run this together”

The newly executive Ijagba Development Youth Association, Comrade Gbenga Adebayo otherwise known as Oridade announced the success opening of the association’s official bank account as the foundational step that will propel the association towards greater accomplishments.

“This is just the beginning. We are committed to doing even more, creating opportunities, fostering development, and making a lasting impact with unwavering support of our community. We will continue to break new ground and build a future we can all be proud of”, he said.

The well-attended event saw the presence of community leaders, youth representatives, and well-wishers, all of whom expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated executives would usher in an era of progress and positive transformation for Ijagba youths.
