IBEDC Complies As Akarigbo Interferes To Dark Out In Sagamu Caused By Seizures Of Transformers Fuse

It was reported that the newly transferred Business Manager to Sagamu IBEDC, Mr Brume had instructed the staffs to remove the transformers’ fuses in many streets in Sagamu local government, throwing entire community into darkness.

An action that has directly affected even those that don’t owe IBEDC, most especially the prepaid meter customers. Clients decries and also condemned such act, says it’s cruel and callous.

The affected residents were filled with enthusiasm as Akarigbo intervened with an order that IBEDC should do the needful by returning all the transformers’ fuses earlier removed and stop punishing those customers who are not owning.

Our correspondent gathered that among others, Sakora, Folarin, Surulere, Topmost Junction, Ayepe Road, Olayinka, Ewu Oliwo, Ogunyanwo, Kajola street Ajaka, Balufon, Sonyindo to list the few, have been put in total darkness for the past 8 days.

Meanwhile, a reliable source form the palace disclosed to our correspondent that His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland wasn’t happy with the modules operandi of IBEDC during this time.

Such a rejected act has prompted Akarigbo to summon meeting with the officials of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company. Though the Officials complained of nonpayment of bills resulting in humongous outstanding amounts. Kabiyesi thereafter directed that the transformers’fuses should be put back in order.

Akarigbo also charged with the community residents to assist the company by paying their bills timely and he also instructed IBEDC to disconnect only those genuinely owing the company next time.
