The popular actress, Wumi Toriola, who entered the list of people with broken marriages in the film industry few days ago, has said that she has moved on after the breakup.
R understood that there were mixed feelings about Toriola’s marriage after she “jumped” on a trending Tiktok challenge declaring herself a single lady.
Her fans had gotten wind of trouble in Toriola’s marriage following a post posted to Instagram by a popular blog claiming that the actress’s marriage was crashing because she was violent.
But in her statement made available to R, the mother of one of them denied the allegation of being an abusive partner.
The actress said in her statement: “There has been a lot of media attention on me lately regarding my marriage. Yes, it is true that the marriage is over. We have gone our separate ways for over a year now. It didn’t work out, there was no need for drama, hence my reason for not letting my fans know, but I saw a report claiming I was violent as long as the marriage lasted, and I hit my mom and my mother-in-law. It was reported that my ex would have made up these lies.
“For the record, I am not a violent person. I have not had to trade blows with anyone and I have never been violent in the marriage.”
