The People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has hinted that he is meeting with New Nigerian People’s Party candidates Rabiu Kwankwaso and Peter Obi of the Labor Party to support his ambition in the upcoming election.

Atiku announced this on Tuesday in a 15-minute interview with BBC Hausa.

Atiku spoke to the interviewer in Hausa language and said that neither Obi nor Kwankwaso pose any threat to his chances of winning in the Feb. 25 poll.

“While I don’t see a threat in any of them, but we’re in talks and the discussion could produce a positive outcome that one of them will see coming.”

While answering questions about the ongoing PDP crisis, Atiku said that every party has its internal crisis and theirs will be no exception, but they are trying to resolve any difference in no time.

“Each party has its internal crisis, we are still discussing that. Most of them are neither in the PDP nor in other parties and that will certainly not cause us to lose the election, because we are fine with the election preparations for now.

“Elections now are not like in the past, when a governor decides who to vote for, the election today is in the hands of the voters,” he added.
