Humongous crowd welcomed the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to Maiduguri, Borno State on Saturday for a mega rally.

As early as in the morning, all roads in the Maiduguri metropolis led to the venue of the mega rally, as Tinubu hits the ancient city with the ‘home boy’ and vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.
Despite the naira scarcity, thousands stormed the streets to welcome the APC’s presidential candidate to Borno.

There was massive gridlock as the campaign vehicle conveying Tinubu and Shettima to the rally was mobbed by joyous crowd.
Governors present at the rally are: Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Engr Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa and Babagana Umara Zulum.
A mammoth crowd was seen along the way to Shehu’s palace waving and chanting the song of popular Hausa singer, Rarara.
The campaign trail went go to the palace of Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai, before moving to El-kanemi warriors stadium, venue of the rally.
The stadium was overfilled with large crowd singing and dancing and chanting ‘Jagaban, Jagaban.’
The stadium was electrified as Tinubu and Shettima made a grand entry into the arena. It was a carnival-like rally, coming seven days to the February 25, 2023 presidential election.
