True Life Story
HUMANITY; A PATH FOR THE CONFIDENT, SHOULD BE A GUIDE FOR POSTERITY.
HUMANITY; A PATH FOR THE CONFIDENT, SHOULD BE A GUIDE FOR POSTERITY.
It is said , “The greatest adversary in life is not death as claimed but a life without purpose”.
Death perhaps is an inevitable end of man, it will definitely come when exactly it will come.
Within the circle of two weeks , life has proven to me not to be a respecter of anyone, regardless of age, gender, deed, education, intellect, portfolio, religion…
Thinking through the circle , I couldn’t see anything profitable rather than HUMANITY.
What could we say of a person who is healthy, dressed up for work on a beautiful morning, on getting to site, wanting to get some things fixed at the building’s balcony not extremely distanced to the ground, fell down and death took over, (if probably this person had refused to have gone to work, perhaps , he might have been tagged lazy).
Was it not insane to hear of someone who landed in detention for a good tough 114hrs (6days) just because of an argument on Five hundred naira note (#500), ask me if it worth it at all in the first place, I believe something is lost and yet to be found in such case; it is nothing other than ‘humanity’, wisdom is all it takes to detect one in oneself.
Let me hear your view and what you would have say of person making a lovely use of his social moment with friends, went swimming in a pool and died in the process. (probably if not, he might have been tagged as being isolated).
With a sobber reflection, I had a deep thought and all I could get in relation is my “struggle life”. Yes!, I mean Activism. In an instance I thought ;Ha! So I can die at any moment?
In another, I thought; Why then do I have to fear death even when someone at the Corner of his/her room could be visited by death uninformed?
Then I thought of myself during a faceoff… All I could see is confidence, What if I’ve been shot dead?
In the process of proffering solutions to someone else’s (Nation) problem in your little capacity, do you know what is in plot for you in the course of your service ?
Then I finally ascertain the popular saying that “posterity is a judge of all time “,while you live and most importantly the kind of history that will be written about you when you are no more.
Humanity indeed is a circle of life, the qualities that makes us human, such as the ability to love in return, have compassion, be creative, societal adaptation…
When we do bad things, it is basically a test in our faith in Humanity, when we do good, a practice of our faith in Humanity, When people approach us for help, basically it’s an appeal to our sense of Humanity. What then defines life rather than Humanity?
What does your religion says about Humanity?
As it is recorded in the Bible:
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Even the Qur’an grounded it further:
It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces towards East or West; but it is righteousness to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity, to fulfill the contracts which we have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God fearing (Quran 2:177).
More so, Traditionally, there’s a great dignity for humankind .
From here, it’s very sacrosanct that every individual can never be equal as such, there’s a need for all to stand on the part of humanity in our diverse ways against all cruelty and differences.
Only cowards will die thousands of days before their time but a valiant will taste death but once.
I have confidently chosen the part of Humanity in my little capacity to make impact, agitate, giving voice to the voiceless without fear and prejudice.
Have you chosen your own part in Humanity?
