How I deal with traitors – Tinubu

All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu has revealed how he deals with people who betray him.

This is because he revealed that disappointment is an incentive for him and he works harder when people disappoint him.

Tinubu made this statement Sunday at a town hall meeting in Benin City, the capital of Edo state, with leaders of All Progressives Congresses, trade unions and civil society organizations.

“Disappointment is an incentive for me. You disappoint me, I work harder. You betray me, I don’t get angry, I ignore you.

“The reason is that you are not my God and not my creator. My mother taught me that if you are sad, I will share your sadness with you. If you are happy, I will rejoice with you. If you are poor, I will share with you what little I have,” Tinubu told his audience.

The former governor of Lagos State assured the people of Edo that the country will derive sufficient revenue from the state’s gas resources for meaningful development.

He urged the people to get Edo back from the People’s Democratic Party and return it to the APC.

“Nigeria will make money because Edo has the largest supply of gas. We will make money for Nigeria. There will be long-term money for long-term projects. We will develop and ship our gas to Europe and compete with Russia. I am one of the smartest assets in Nigeria.

“Edo, take back your state. First of all, let’s forge unity. Let’s find the way where they say there is no way.

“We have to save the state of Edo. I’m ready to work with you. Take a lantern, go from house to house. Do not get mad. Anger doesn’t solve problems,” he said.

He urged voters to reject the PDP, as the party has nothing to offer.

“You see PDP, they are scattered, they don’t know the way. Atiku doesn’t know how to lie again except fake lie upon lie. Atiku cannot have a serious job in Nigeria. When they privatized the Aluminum Smelter Company in Ikot Abasi and privatized NITEL, I negotiated the free trade zone in China. I negotiated Lekki Deep Seaport in Singapore and it is now the deepest seaport in West Africa. Edo people are extremely smart. You can do the job.

“Count on me at the federal level. I’ll be your listening president. Vote for me. Prosperity is here. When you put the ballot in the box, say it’s for job creation. I will create jobs for you because you are not lazy.”

On the criticism of the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) led APC government by PDP, Tinubu said the main opposition party should be ignored.

“People who cannot empower Nigeria say they want to come back. In just 8 years, APC has put the track back. We’ll reset refineries and we’ll produce for you. They can scold Buhari from morning to evening, he does not hear their abuse. Abuse him, the rail he provided, the second Niger bridge he provided, the Lagos-Ibadan highway he provided. Benin-Ore Port will be ready so you don’t have to come to Lagos to clear your goods,” the former governor said.
