Sagamu, Ogun State – Hon. Damilare Muhammad Bello (DRE), the member representing Sagamu Constituency 1 in the Ogun State House of Assembly, has joined thousands in mourning the loss of Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga Oriyomi, fondly known as “Ijaya,” a distinguished leader and Remo Federal Constituency Representative.

In a heartfelt statement, Hon. Bello described Ijaya as a trailblazing visionary leader whose impact resonated across Remoland. “It’s so heartbreaking to hear of the departure of my beloved sister and special senior colleague, Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga.

Remo has lost a HUGE visionary leader – a woman who realized the dreams of thousands and created opportunities for women, youth, and the people of Remo in general,” he said.

He expressed his deepest condolences to her family, staff, and the people of Remo, emphasizing the monumental loss her passing represents. “May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and I pray that Allah grants her family and Remo the fortitude to bear this huge loss,” he added.

Ijaya was celebrated for her unwavering commitment to improving lives, her integrity, and her ability to inspire positive change, particularly among women and youth in the region. Her death leaves a significant void in the political and social landscape of Ogun State.
