Governor Abiodun Appoints Lukman Adunmo, Others To Boost Ogun State’s Development
In a move to further strengthen his administration’s commitment to good governance and sustainable development, Alhaji Lukman Adunmo and others in a new wave has been appointed by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The latest appointments, which follow earlier selections to various boards and agencies, demonstrate the governor’s dedication to merit-based choices and inclusive governance.
Among the newly appointed officials is Lukman Adunmo, who has been named chairman of the Ogun State Parks and Garages. Adunmo’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the state’s transportations and recreational spaces, aligning with Governor Abiodun’s vision for a more sustainable and livable Ogun State.
The Ogun State Parks and Garage agency will be led by a 20-member board, comprising representatives from various local governments across the state. This broad, inclusive approach ensures diverse perspectives and collective efforts towards achieving the agency’s objectives, promoting a sense of ownership and responsibility among stakeholders.

In addition to Adunmo’s appointment, Yomi Odunowo has been named chairman of the Gateway Trading Company, while Subair Kamilat will chair the Food Crops Marketing Board. Wale Soremi has been appointed chairman of the Ogun State Signage and Advertising Agency.
These appointments are part of Governor Abiodun’s efforts to drive his administration’s development agenda, focusing on critical areas such as transportation, agriculture, trade, and environmental sustainability. The selections were made based on the individuals’ expertise, experience, and passion for public service, ensuring that the agencies are led by capable and dedicated leaders.
Laolu Akande, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abiodun, announced the appointments in a statement, highlighting the governor’s commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability. “These appointments demonstrate our administration’s dedication to selecting the best candidates for the job, regardless of political affiliations or personal interests,” Akande said.
The latest appointments bring the total number of agencies and boards with new leadership to eight, following earlier appointments to the Ogun Waste Management Authority (OGWAMA), Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA), Plantgate Limited, and the Ogun State Alternative Medicine Board (OGAMB).
