NAPS SENATE PRESIDENT ELECT APPRECIATES NIGERIA POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS, CHARGES STUDENTS TO GET INVOLVE IN POLITICAL TRANSITION.

‘It matters very little whether a man is discontented in the name of pessimism or progress, if his discontent does in fact paralyze his power of appreciating what he has got.’

Let me begin by expressing heartfelt and unreserved gratitude and appreciation to Almighty God, the orator and the creator of the cosmos and to the entire students community in Nigeria for electing me to serve you as your servant-leader in the capacity of the SENATE PRESIDENT.

In these challenging times, this office is not a luxury. It is a huge responsibility and by the grace of God almighty, I hope to play my role in emancipating students and youths in this struggle against all forms of injustice and oppression.

Of immediate concern is the growing anomaly called Caretaker Committees leading Students Unions in several institutions across the nation. We are prepared to restore duly-elected Student Union Executives in all institutions. We implore those at the helm of affairs to desist from impeding the rights of students to elect their representatives.

We are also using this opportunity to encourage students to take governance and political participation seriously.

We will be using all resources to mobilize students to have their Permanent Voters Cards and support progressive-minded youths in the forthcoming elections.

Whether or not you supported me in this election, I want you to know that I am dedicated to serving all students. When we work together, regardless of our affiliations and ideological leanings, but as members of one student community, I know that we can accomplish great things together.

During these uncertain times, my highest commitment is to be your voice in the Senate arm so that we can achieve our shared goals. Now is the time for us to be united as an association so that we can genuinely rebuild our institution, return NAPS back to campus and have a restructured and Students oriented NAPS, and ensure that every student receives a great previledge and benefit of association.

Henceforth, your struggles are my struggles, your concerns are my concerns, and your hopes are my hopes. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I am ready and excited to work you. I want to be as accessible and responsive to you as possible.

My profound gratitude goes to my principal, my leading leader, an eminent and prominent leader who has deemed if fit against all odds to throw his weights behind me to ensure that my lifelong ambition is brought to manifestation,

Akogun general, I owe this Victory to you. Thank you for believing in me.

My intense gratitude also goes to the Distinguished Special Assistant on Students matter to the Governor of Ogun State, Comr Adeyemi Azeez Amoo.

”I acknowledge the efforts of the students friendly Governor who has always make sure that Nigerian Students are his number 1 priority and also the security of lives and properties as far as Ogun State is concerned. While I must also commend his actions by appointing youthful youths into the local government affairs.

Also to my leader, Comr. Amb Okeowo Kayode, your consistent believe in my ideology and your chastisement has been really helpful in the course of my struggle.”

I dedicate this Victory to all Nigerian Students.
