Gani Adams Accuses Diaspora Group Of Unity, Development Of Southwest

Iba Adams, who is also the global organizer of the organization, commissioned this in Badagry during the economic weekend during the 2023 edition of the OPU World Congress which lasted five days.
This was just as Iba Adams expressed his delight at the huge turnout of diaspora organization delegates from the 96 countries across the six continents of the world, who came to Nigeria to contribute their quota towards the development and advancement of the country and the Yoruba country in particular, despite the obvious security challenges in the country and the dire economic situation around the world.
The Yoruba General, noting that the annual congress in Badagry was the 9th edition and that the previous editions were held in all six southwestern states and also Kwara and Kogi states in the north-central geopolitical zone, assured that the group would continue to represent the importance of the Yoruba race with its strength and capacity as a global brand.
Oba Adams, in keeping with the global organization’s tradition of impacting the life of the host community, announced the sinking of the borehole, adding: “Water is life and that is why we are converting the borehole to the needs of the people to provide. ”
In addition, he said free health services were provided to those in need, while 1,000 sacks of rice and peanut oil were also distributed to people in the community “to mitigate the effect of hunger in the country”.
“Each time we hold the OPU World Congress, our usual practice is to influence the host community and give something reasonable to the people of the host community.
“This year, Badagry is our next destination and we are expanding our humanitarian services and projects to build boreholes to meet the needs of the people. Water is life and that is why we are building the borehole to meet the needs of the people.
“We are also giving free health services to meet health needs and we are giving about 1,000 bags of rice and peanut oil to alleviate the effect of hunger in the country,” he said.
“Apart from this, all 983 OPU delegates who are in Badagry for this year’s Congress and OPC members as well as the guests have injected several million naira into Badagry’s economy.
“This means that every time we hold the convention, we are positively impacting the entire community and we are also boosting the area’s economy and business prospects,” he added.
The visiting lecturer Dr. Ademola Eesuola from the Department of Adult Education, University of Ibadan, in his remarks urged the OPU delegates not to forget their residence, pointing out that the annual congress was a great platform that could help Yoruba realize his dreams to achieve and place of honor.

He lamented the current situation in the country and said Yoruba had an important role to play in correcting the mistakes of the current situation.
“Yoruba is always the most refined and coordinated breed. However, it is our responsibility to begin to find a way to change the stories and make the right changes that can correct the mistakes of the past and improve the lot of the people of our race.
Chairman of the 2023 edition of the OPU World Congress, Alhaji Babatunde Otukoya, expressed his joy at the success of the negotiations and said that the atmosphere in Badagry provided the serene atmosphere for a good development.
He appreciated all members of the OPU, the delegates and guests who attended the various events in Badagry.

Part of the programs for this year’s OPU World Congress includes a royal visit to the palace of the Akran of Badagry, HRM Oba De Wheno-Aholu-Menu Toyi 1(OFR); the congress lecture at the Lagos State Theater Badagry, the dinner party at the Elite Hall, where the popular musician Sule Alao Malaika entertained the guests.
Meanwhile, the official unveiling of the borehole project in Badagry market was made by the global organizer, Iba Gani Adams, in the presence of other prominent dignitaries, including prominent
