Fuel Scarcity: Long Queues Will Disappear If Marketers Patronize Us – Aliko Dangote
Aliko Dangote has expressed confidence that Nigeria’s fuel scarcity issue, marked by long queues at filling stations, can be resolved if oil marketers increase their patronage of the Dangote Refinery. According to Dangote, the refinery, which began production this year, has the capacity to meet the nation’s fuel demands, and partnering with local marketers will streamline the supply chain.
This approach, he suggests, will reduce reliance on imports and alleviate the scarcity impacting Nigerian citizens.
By producing refined petroleum products locally, the Dangote Refinery aims to make Nigeria more self-sufficient in fuel supply, which could stabilize prices and ensure a more reliable supply.

According to Dangote, boosting reliance on local production instead of imports would ensure consistent supply, lower costs, and provide relief to Nigerians frustrated by long waits for fuel.
The refinery, which is one of Africa’s largest, offers a major solution to the distribution woes facing the country. If embraced fully by marketers, this partnership could signal a long-awaited shift towards energy self-sufficiency in Nigeria.
