#FIXOTAROADS PROTEST: Take It Back Movement, Ogun State Chapter Pledges Total Support For The Campaign!

TAKE IT BACK MOVEMENT: A global revolutionary people’s movement that serves as vanguard for the oppressed workers, students and masses against oppression of any kind anywhere anytime shows deeplyl concern about the degenerated and dilapidated roads network in Ogun State particularly Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area where hundreds of commuters usually loss their lives to fatal road accidents and crippled economy activities in the local area caused by bad roads network.

We view the ongoing protest as a stitch in time which would save nine. 

The Dapo Abiodun led administration has been racketeering in the construction and rehabilitation of ota roads as his snaily administration continue to give ogun people false hope and empty assurances on construction of better road network in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government and Ogun State at large.

In times like this when government purposeful neglect it’s primary duties and obligations, it is the core duty of the people to rise up, fight and demand for their rights.

#FixOtaRoads peaceful protest is legal and highly constitutional as the law of Nigeria is concerned.

Our Stands:

1. We call on all working masses, civil societies, students movements and all pro-workers movements to join the protest in demanding for fixture of roads in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area. 

2. We haved immediately mobilized two hundred (200) of our comrades to join the protestors at the barricade on next rally.

3. We shall not leave the street till we see full commencement of constructions of dilapidated roads in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area.

4. We call on the Mr. Fashola led federal ministry of works to immediately resume to work on all dilapidated Federal roads in Ado-Odo/Ota local Government affected federal routes are: Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, Sango-Idiroko expressway, Ado-Odo to Mowo badagry expressway and Atan-Agbara expressway.

5. We call on the Dapo Abiodun led administration of Ogun state to stop the racketeering – style of road construction in 1.2klm Joju road, Ado-Mowo expressway and Atan-Agbara expressway in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.

The state government should immediately mobilize the construction companies to speed up with the ongoing projects for easyplying of the roads!

In conclusion, we call on the State Agencies to cooperate with the protestors instead of been used as tool of repression against the peaceful protestors as they are advocating for the fixture of bad roads networks that affects us all especially the security structure of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.

The state agents should protect the protestors against any form of attack from groups threatening the protestors.

Federal Government of Nigeria and Ogun state Government should immediately declare state emergency on roads on Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government or continue to welcome all kinds of mass actions as we won’t relent in agitating for our rights!
