Fashola Inaugurates FMC 850m Inner Road In Abeokuta
Works and Housing Minister Babatunde Fashola, SAN, has inaugurated 850m inner road of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He said the intervention was part of initiative of the Federal Government to repair, rehabilitate and reconnect roads within tertiary institutions and FMCs across the country’s six geopolitical zones.
The minister, represented by the Federal Roads Controller in the state, Forosola Oloyede, said the Federal Government was doing everything possible to fix all federal roads in Ogun State, to reduce the plight of residents and other road users.

On the FMC 850 inner road, Fashola urged the referral health facility to make use of it and maintain same.
He cited Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, Sagamu -Ogijo road and Sango Ota- Idiroko road as three of the federal roads receiving attention in the state, saying the contractor handling Lagos-Abeokuta road, Julius Berger, would soon return to site after it left last year.
He said the contractor handling Sagamu- Ogijo road had done 23km of the 30.04km road, hoping that work would be completed before the end of the year.
FMC Medical Director Prof. Adewale Olomu hailed the minister and Federal Government, noting that they had done more road repair, rehabilitation and reconstruction across the country amid paucity of funds than predecessors.
