Farewell To A Legend: Late Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga Remembered In Emotional Candlelight Tribute
In a poignant display of love and respect, the people of Remo Federal Constituency gathered in Sagamu on Thursday, January 23, 2025, for a candlelight procession to honor the life and legacy of Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga Oriyomi, fondly known as Ijaya.
The solemn procession, which drew an emotional crowd, commenced at Sabo, Sagamu, and weaved through significant landmarks including Ita Oba and Awolowo, before concluding at Ewuga Estate. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the late Onanuga, who passed away after a brief illness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many in Remoland and beyond.
Ikenga, a prominent figure who spoke at the event, described her death as an irreplaceable loss. “The passing of Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga is a colossal loss to the entire Sagamu and Remo community. Her demise has left a gaping void in our midst. Hon.
