FA CUP FINAL – Gateway FC Defeats Easywell FC 4:0

It was a clash of the titan on the sunny afternoon of Monday 14th June, 2021 when players of the Gateway United FC took their counterpart, Easywell FC at the Final Stage of the 2021 FA Cup Competition.

Spectators at the M.K.O International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta had barely settled, when Okolo Michael gave Gateway United an early lead via a penalty shot in the 2nd minute after Julius Ikechukwu was brought down in the box. 

In the 37th minute, Michael Okolo added another goal with a sublime freekick from 25 yards thus making Gateway FC to maintain the lead at the first half of the Competition.

47′ 2 minutes into the second half, Iwundu Chidozie rose above other players to net in the ball with a nod through corner kick making it 3:0

Supporters of the Gateway United Football Club were still in the mood jubilation when  Haruna Salifu, another fantastic header, shook the net with a goal across Sunkanmi Odusina’s Head at the 55 minutes.

Amongst the Dignitaries at the event were the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde.

With this startling performance, the Gateway FC claimed supremacy as the proud winner of the 2021 FA Cup Competition.
