Exclusive: PDP Assembly Candidate Escapes Assassination Attempt In Sagamu [Photos, Video]

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) assembly candidate in the just concluded 2023 election from Sagamu Constituency 2 in Ogun State, Honourable Ayodele Olapeju otherwise known as PJ narrowly escaped assassination.

The incident which reportedly took place in his home at Ewuga area of Sagamu was seen been attacked by unknown Gunmen.

When addressing newsmen, Honourable Ayodele Olapeju mentioned how he narrowly escaped assassination at the wee hours of Tuesday, 28th of March 2023, Eaglesforesight reports.

It was just like a shock when i heard the noise of door banging in my house, Hon. PJ said.

“Coming out from my bedroom to sight what was happening, I saw strange faces of like five to six fully masked young guys.”

“These guys were fully armed, two of them with long ropes, others are with guns and cutlasses.”

“As i stepped out of my room, I heard a noise of one saying; ’na the market be that’. Immediately, I was rushed at, they struggled the door with me, but I was fortunate to shot the door behind them, and escaped through the exit door.”

“The hoodlums took their time calmly to pack all the valuable goods in my rooms, such as; gold jewelries (4 rolex wristwatches 8 other expenses wristwatches, gold rings, gold chains, and all) phone gadgets amongst others.”

“The hoodlums also went away with my multi-million naira Nissan Titan vehicle and all these worth close to Forty Million Naira.”

The indelible attack is quite perturbed at this auspicious time and justice have to be done, PJ laments.

­­“Sensing from the assailants conversation during the attempted attack, he alleged the suspect to be among those criminals that attacked polling units in Sagamu during gubernatorial and assembly elections”, Honourable PJ said.

Hon. PJ said; “i implore the security agencies of Sagamu and Ogun State as a whole to come to his aides in order to avoid future occurrence.”
