The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) is set to announce the release of timetable for election in the 20 Local Governments (LGs) on or before next week friday Eaglesforesight 🦅 reports

A source close to the electoral body said the commission would meet with political parties for the release of election guidelines very soon.

The commission has been interacting very closely with the media and other independent organizations to also bring them up to speed with the requirement of conducting a credible election. Don’t forget that the task of organizing election is not only that of OGSIEC.

All the other stakeholders, including the political parties especially, have to play their part.

This commission chairman has demonstrated even in the short time that it has been in office that it is independent. The chairman did say at his inauguration that he would have no relationship with any of the politicians beyond what the law provides for.
