#EndBadGovernance Protesters Refuse To Retreat Amidst Gunshots, Teargas From Security Operatives
Hundreds of #EndBadGovernance protesters have refused to back down on their demonstration despite gunshots and teargas fired by security operatives in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
The Eaglesforesight gathered that a large number of protesters are currently marching on a major road in Kugbo, Asokoro, in Abuja Municipal Council Area (AMAC).
Recall that a Federal High Court in Abuja had restricted protesters to Moshood Abiola Stadium.
However, some protesters proceeded to the stadium, while others assembled at various spots across the nation’s capital.

According to Daily Trust, security operatives are having a tough time controlling the crowd of young persons who are insisting that they would remain on the streets until their demands on an improved economy are met.
Asokoro, where the protesters are, houses Nigeria’s seat of power, government establishments, military barracks as well as the head office of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Meanwhile, protesters at Eagles Square in Abuja rejected Minister of State for Youth Development Ayodele Olawande’s attempt to address them, chanting “hunger dey” and drowning out his voice.
However, after calming the crowd, Olawande assured them he wasn’t there to suppress the protest, citing his own experience participating in numerous demonstrations.
“I’m not here to fight you or stop your protest; it’s your right,” he said.
He also promised to address the police regarding their use of canisters against the protesters.
